I think most of us are capable of looking at a sunset and recognising its potential to make a pleasing photograph. But to transform a mundane section of skyline or a piece of aluminium siding into a visual haiku composed of a few perfectly-balanced slashes of colour and line... that takes a different eye altogether.
Self-taught Berlin-based photographer, Matthias 'Mad Skillz' Heiderich, presents possibly his most minimalist take on the urban environment yet, with Studie Drei. (Studie Eins and Zwei, here and here. And if you haven't seen his Color Berlin series, wow, you're in for a treat.)
